Boaters' Guide and Information Packet

The BLM sells an Upper Missouri National Wild & Scenic River map set. The water proof maps provide river miles, land ownership, topography and developed campsite locations. One map covers Fort Benton to Slaughter River (river miles 0-77). The other map covers Slaughter River to James Kipp Recreation Area (river mile 77-149). Each map sells for $4.00. These maps can be purchased by a check or money order payable to the DOI/BLM at:

A new boater guide has been available since March 2006. This booklet-type boater guide has additional river information as well as updated map coverage for the area between Fort Benton (river mile 0) and Judith Landing (river mile 88.5).
