Fresno OHV Area

 Fresno OHV area

Approximately 82 acres in size, this recreation area is located in the badlands 18 miles north of Havre, Montana.  This area is open to motorized wheeled vehicles and offers a variety of terrain and challenges for all off-road enthusiasts.  The area boundary is signed, and all off-road users are required to stay within the boundary area. Off-road vehicles are NOT permitted to cross Cottonwood Creek.

Facilities/Services: None

Location/Access: From the Milk River Bridge in Havre, travel north on Hwy 232 14.3 miles; turn west on the gravel road and proceed 4.7 miles; turn north and proceed 1.0 miles; turn west and proceed 0.8 miles on two-track road; travel through the gate and proceed approximately 1/8 miles where the road will turn to the north and through the second gate; travel through the gate and proceed into the OHV area approximately 1/8 mile to the parking area. 

Important Reminder for Users: The only access to the OHV area once you leave the graveled county road is through private and state land.  Please be respectful of the landowner’s generosity in granting access to public lands and leave the area in the same or better condition than you find it.

Fees: No fees for day use and parking, no reservations

Season/Hours: Site is open to the public year-round during daylight hours.

Maps:  This site is not labeled, but it is shown on the BLM Havre 1:100,000 map with a small portion falling on the Chester 1:100,000 map.
