Devil's Elbow Campground on Hauser Lake offers a wealth of water-based recreation opportunities and is located about 15 miles east of Helena and adjacent to Clark’s Bay Day-use Area and Two Camps Vista Interpretive Site. This popular 42-unit campground is located mid-way along the shore of Hauser Lake. The lake (actually a reservoir) provides year-round opportunities for fishing (trout, walleye and kokanee salmon) along with excellent boating and wildlife viewing. Activities: Camping, fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking and hiking. Facilities/Services: 42 camping units, boat dock, boat slips, fish cleaning station, swimming area, restrooms, drinking water, group picnic shelter, tables and fire-rings, garbage collection and on-site manager. All facilities are universally accessible. Location/Access: From Helena take Exit 193 (Cedar Street) from I-15. Travel on Washington Street (past airport entrance), turn right on Canyon Ferry Road for 1/2 mile, then turn left on York Road for approximately 12 miles through Lakeside until you reach the Devil’s Elbow entrance sign. Fees: Camping at $10/night (includes day-use fee) with stay limits of 14 days, $2 for day-use, $25 for a seasonal day-use pass and $50 for group camping reservations Season/Hours: Fees charged from mid-May through mid-October.
