Lower Salmon River - Access and Shuttle Routes

Access

There are two main put-ins for boating the Lower Salmon River between Hammer Creek and Heller Bar — Hammer Creek Recreation Site and Pine Bar Recreation Site.  The main take-out is at Heller Bar on the Snake River in Washington State.

The following chart illustrates the facilities at each site and travel distances for shuttles.  In addition to these three locations the River can also be accessed at Eagle Creek.  Please note that the access road to Eagle Creek is very rough and primitive.
