Tracks, Scats and Animal Impacts

Moose and Jackrabbit
Moose and Jackrabbit

Wildlife relies on both dry and wet environments to survive.

Evidence is left behind even if you don't see wildlife along the trail. Look for:

• Tracks (footprints)

• Scat (droppings)

• Nipped branches (food)

• Flattened vegetation (sleeping area)

• Antlers, hair or fur shed by animals.
