Popular Activities in the Morley Nelson NCA Area

In addition to being a hotspot for birdwatching, the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey area is a wonderful place for visitors to sightsee, trail-ride in cars, trucks, jeeps, motorcycles, ATVs, ride on horseback, hike, hunt, mountain-bike, picnic and camp.

During the months of March-June hunters, target shooters, hikers, mountain bikers, and float boaters enjoy the outdoors along with raptor-watchers. On hot midsummer days, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, power boating, and fishing are popular on the Snake River and on CJ Strike Reservoir, a 7,500-acre impoundment of the Snake and Bruneau Rivers in the southeastern portion of the NCA.
