Idaho Wild Horse and Burro Facilities

Idaho BLM has two wild horse corral facilities located in Challis and in Boise.  The facilities are large, sturdy-paneled corrals with ample room for the horses after they are gathered.  After gathering, the horses stay in these corrals where they are fed and cared for daily.  Idaho BLM does not keep the horses in these corrals year-round; they are only used for short-term holding and for adoptions.

Challis Corrals

Located east of Challis, on Hot Springs Road.
