The BLM is analyzing the potential effects of renewing 1
5 grazing permits in the Jump Creek, Succor Creek and Cow Creek watersheds in western Owyhee County, Idaho, in an environmental impact statement (EIS).  The planning area encompasses about 120,000 acres of public land in 25 allotments. 
 

CURRENT STATUS | 
The Draft EIS analyzing a range of alternatives is available for public comment through June 17, 2013.

Under the terms of a Federal District Court of Idaho stipulated settlement agreement, the BLM has agreed to complete grazing permit renewals associated with 75 grazing allotments - including the 25 allotments subject to analysis in this EIS - by the end of 2013.  The timetable above is designed to comport with that schedule.
