EIS | Shoshone Basin Permit Renewal

The BLM Burley Field Office is preparing an environmental impact statement (EIS) for grazing permit renewals in the Shoshone Basin area. The planning area is located in Twin Falls County, and encompasses approximately 125,800 acres of public land. The EIS will explore the relationship of grazing to significant impacts to sage-grouse from wildfires and large energy projects that are reasonably foreseeable in the Browns Bench/Shoshone Basin area. Public scoping process helped determine relevant issues to be analyzed in the EIS.


The BLM is interested in your comments on the issues and planning criteria related to the Shoshone Basin Grazing Permit Renewal.  After viewing the scoping documents and associated maps, please submit any comments or additional information you may have.
