Amendment of
the Monument Resource Management Plan

BLM Burley Field Office is proposing to amend the Monument resource management plan (RMP) to implement a closure to rock climbing activities at Cedar Fields to protect cultural resources.

Preliminary issues include the potential to damage cultural resources within the American Falls Archeological District at Cedar Fields.

Federal Register | Notice of Intent  Aug.23.2011

The proposed RMP amendment would close certain BLM-managed acres in the American Falls Archaeological District to climbing, staging, camping, and construction of new trails.
