Geographic Sciences The Idaho BLM Geographic Sciences Group provides multiple services in support of Idaho BLM's mission which is to sustain the health, diversity and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. Geographic analysts create and maintain statewide master spatial datasets, conduct geographic analysis and produce internal and external maps and other products. Master Title Plats are updated daily and track the administrative status, rights of ways and patents of federal lands in Idaho. Cartographers create professional map publications for outdoor signs, brochures and public displays, including the BLM 1:100,000 statewide series of land status maps. Idaho GIS is unique in the BLM in that all three specialists, analysts, cartographers and plat staff work together in one group. Following are examples of our products. Contact the Information Access Center at (208) 373-3889 for your mapping needs.
