The RMP is the basic document used to guide land use decisions and management actions on public lands for 20 years or more. The first step in this process is to work with interest groups and the public in identification of management issues. To achieve this, the BLM encourages the public’s participation the upcoming series of scoping meetings to be held near the end of April and throughout the month of May.

The Four Rivers Planning Area lies within nine counties of southwestern Idaho from Glenns Ferry in the southeast, west to the Oregon border and north to McCall. Much of the approximately 783,000 acres of BLM managed public lands is interspersed among sections of private, State or Forest Service lands.

If your group or organization would like more information  on this process, contact Jon Beck at (208) 384-3305 or e-mail him at jonathan_m_beck@blm.gov.  Information can be found on the Idaho BLM State Office web site http://www.blm.gov/id/st/en/fo/four_rivers/Planning/four_rivers_resource.html
