Resource Advisory Council Hosts Workshops

TWIN FALLS, ID– The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Twin Falls District Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will host five workshops for the Jarbidge Field Office Resource Management Plan (RMP) in the next few weeks. The purpose of the Jarbidge RMP is to provide overall management and long-term direction for lands and resources administered by the Twin Falls District, Jarbidge Field Office. Part of the planning process involves developing “alternatives,” or different ways to manage the resources. These workshops will allow participants to roll up their sleeves and provide feedback and suggestions about RMP alternatives, as well as specific issues regarding vegetation and livestock grazing, transportation, and areas for special designation or management in a facilitated, small-group work session.

“In order for the planning process to be as open and transparent to the public as possible, our Resource Advisory Council members decided to host these workshops for participants to take part in focused discussions about different aspects of the RMP,” said RAC Chairman, Dr. Kenneth Sanders.
