Jarbidge Field Office Announces
Resource Management Plan Open House Dates
TWIN FALLS, ID – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Twin Falls District Jarbidge Field Office is preparing a Resource Management Plan (RMP) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The current Jarbidge RMP was completed in 1987. The new RMP will provide broad multiple-use guidance for managing 1,366,000 acres of public lands managed by the BLM in portions of Twin Falls, Owyhee, and Elmore Counties, Idaho, and Elko County, Nevada, for the next 15 to 20 years.
The BLM is hosting four open house meetings to share information about the planning process and obtain public input on resource and management issues to be considered in the RMP/EIS.

The Jarbidge Field Office would like to thank those who have previously submitted comments on issues and/or planning criteria to be used during the RMP process and welcome them to provide additional comments during this second scoping opportunity if they wish. The Jarbidge Field Office would encourage others to submit their comments as well. To be most helpful in this extended scoping period, written comments should be submitted by June 15, 2006.
