Kelly Island Campground CLOSED for the 2011 season.

Primitive overnight camping with views of scenic juniper-sagebrush canyons and a clear water river with an excellent trout fishery

Each site has a gravel pad, picnic table and fire ring.  Visitors may enjoy camping, fishing, sightseeing, and wade/bank fishing.

Location: Approximately 23 miles northeast of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Cross Heise bridge, continue towards Kelly Canyon.  Exit at Snake River Road, follow along north bank of the South Fork for approximately one-half mile.

Fees/Facilities:

  • 14 campsites ($10/night for single, $20/night for double) + 1 group site (reservations required for larger groups, $35/night reservation fee)
  • Gravel pads, picnic tables and fire ring at each campsite
  • Pull-through sites
  • Vault toilets
  • Fire pits
  • Drinking water
  • Day use area
  • Campground hosts
  • No firearms or all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)

BOATERS:
The Idaho Invasive Species Law and Boater Registration
Any boat registered in Idaho or another state, and any non-motorized vessel (canoe, kayak, raft, drift boat, etc.) is required to purchase and display IISF stickers in order to legally launch and operate in Idaho.  Inflatable, non-motorized vessels less than 10 feet in length are exempt.
