Twin Falls District and Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Discuss Greenhouse Construction:  Twin Falls District employees visited the Duck Valley Indian Reservation to discuss efforts to construct a second greenhouse with the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes.  Details about support for the upcoming construction effort were also discussed.  Weather permitting, the second greenhouse should be constructed by spring 2009 and would produce vegetation for use on BLM fuels and fire rehabilitation projects by fall 2009.

→ Twin Falls District Begins Fire Recruitment Efforts:  Recruitment for positions with the Idaho BLM Twin Falls District Fire and Aviation Program is now underway.  Fire leadership will be traveling to area high schools and colleges to recruit for temporary and career seasonal jobs in suppression, aviation, dispatch, mitigation and fuels.  Three Open House events will also be hosted, providing applicants with the chance to get help with the online application and meet fire officials.  Twin Falls District will accept applications December 1, 2008 through January 31, 2009.  Each year, efforts are made to recruit new individuals to fill fire positions and potentially become long-term assets to the organization.
