Shoup Bridge Recreation Site

Description: The Shoup Bridge Site is a small, convenient and developed campground suitable for RVs and tents on the Upper Salmon River. The site is a primary river access and has a boat ramp. The site is named after George Shoup, the first Governor of Idaho. Popular activities in the area include camping, fishing and non-motorized boating. Only hatchery steelhead, identifiable by the clipped adipose fin, can be kept and barbless hooks are required.

Directions: 5 miles south of Salmon, Idaho on Highway 93. 
Travel south from Salmon on Highway 93 for five miles.

  • Developed campground with 5 sites (no hookups); $5.00/night
  • Boat Ramp
  • Drinking water
  • Restrooms
  • Use season: April-October
