Sharkey Hot Springs
This site is a popular destination for soaking, biking, picnicking and scenic viewing. It includes two soaking pools, restrooms, changing rooms, picnic tables, a large group fire ring and a parking area. The site is named for B.F. Sharkey, an early settler of Lemhi County. The springs were originally developed around 1890 and attracted people from the Lemhi Valley and Salmon River area.
Directions: 19 miles southeast of Salmon, Idaho.
This site is located by traveling 19 miles southeast of Salmon on Highway 28 to Tendoy then turning north and following the signs for Warm Springs Road and Sharkey Hot Springs. The Hot Springs are located about 5 miles from Tendoy, Idaho.
Facilities/Fees:
- Use season: year-round, may need snowmachine in winter months
- No camping allowed at or near the site
- No dogs or use of soap, shampoo, detergents, or glass containers

BLM Proposes Fee at Sharkey Hot Springs to Maintain Quality of Site
The BLM Salmon Field Office is proposing to establish a fee at Sharkey Hot Springs of $3 per visit, a $20 annual pass, or a $10 group fee for 5 people or greater. This site requires extensive weekly maintenance and the BLM needs to consider charging more money in order to continue to maintain this site at the current level of quality.
