McFarland Campground

Description: These campsites lie along the Lemhi River. The nearby Lemhi Valley lies between the Beaverhead Mountains and the Lemhi Range, where the river creates a riparian zone in an otherwise arid region. Both mountain ranges are part of the Salmon National Forest and have excellent opportunities for fishing and camping.

Directions: 33 miles south of Salmon, Idaho on Highway 28

  • Developed campground with 5 sites; $5.00/night
  • RV sites (no hookups)
  • Drinking water
  • Restrooms
  • Use season: June-September
