Pocatello Resource Management Plan
On May 7, 2010 the Pocatello Field Office released a proposed resource management plan and environmental impact statement (PRMP/FEIS) analyzing four alternatives that address how BLM-administered public lands in nine counties of southeastern Idaho will be managed to sustain the health, diversity and productivity of the public lands.
The proposed plan provides the most reasonable and practical approach to managing resources and uses on the public lands and represents management that is proactive and flexible to adjust to changing conditions over time. The proposed plan emphasizes protection, restoration, enhancement and use of resources and services into the future.
The PRMP/FEIS was open for a 30-day no-action/protest period beginning with the date the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) publishes the notice of availability of the FEIS in the Federal Register.
