Community Pits & Common Use Areas for Landscape Rock, Gravel and other Mineral Materials

A wide variety of landscape rock, gravel and sand can be obtained from the Pocatello Field Office. The public can obtain these mineral materials by purchasing a permit at the Field Office. BLM staff can help you select rock that meets your needs and they’ll provide a map to the site where you can collect the material.

Bold type indicates landscape/decorative rock; regular type indicates gravel pits.

No commercial sales

Hell's Half Acre Common Use AreaBasalt: black, volcanic, lava rock used for decorative purposes. Rocks range from softball size to large boulders.Bingham Co., West of I-15 near Lava Road.Rock = $7.50/ton
