Twin Falls District Fire and Aviation Spreading the Word about Fireworks:  Idaho BLM Twin Falls District Fire Prevention Specialists are traveling across the south central Idaho area this week, posting Idaho Fire Prevention Orders and visiting stands where fireworks are being sold.  The Idaho Fire Prevention Order, signed by Idaho State Director Tom Dyer, details prohibited fireworks, guns, ammunition, targets and burning that are illegal on public lands. Twin Falls District will also participate in multiple Independence Day events across the Magic Valley, sharing prevention and safety information with area citizens.


Resource Management Plan: The Jarbidge Field Office is preparing a Resource Management Plan (RMP) for approximately 1.4 million acres of public land in southern Idaho.  An RMP contains a broad, multiple-use framework for managing public lands.  Jarbidge RMP website

Proposed China Mountain Wind Energy Project: The Jarbidge Field Office is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed China Mountain Wind Project. The proposal involves 30,700 acres of public, state and private lands in the Jarbidge Foothills southwest of Rogerson in Twin Falls County, Idaho and west of Jackpot in Elko County, Nevada.  China Mountain Project website
