Cove Recreation Site

Cove Recreation Site has been winterized - No Fees Charged.

Description: Experience the magnificent scenery throughout this area and spend time camping in the Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Popular activities include fishing, hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, boating (motorized and non-motorized), waterskiing, swimming and picnicking. Cove Recreation Site has day use and overnight camping facilities on the south shore of C.J. Strike Resevoir about one mile east of the dam. Use Fees are charged for day and overnight use. Self-service fee stations are located near the entrance to Cove Campground and at the end of Buford Road (see Map).
 
The BLM winterized Cove Recreation Site on October 9, 2007. Fees will not be charged during the fall and winter months while services are not available. Water is turned off, trash collection stopped, and the RV dump is closed. During this time, visitors can continue to camp and use the site for day use activities.

Detailed camping rules

Location: 45 miles south of Boise, Idaho. From Grand View, travel southeast on Highway 78 approximately 15 miles.
