Hulls Gulch is a quiet escape from the city below and a place to learn about the unique natural history of the Boise Foothills and surrounding valley.

This is a good place to think – or not think – and to reconnect with the natural world just a stone's throw from the bustle of downtown Boise.

To help maintain these qualities, the trail is for pedestrians only.  Bicyclists and equestrians may enjoy the many other trail opportunities in the Ridge to Rivers Trail System.

The ascent from the Lower Trailhead around the hillside and then along the creek upstream for three miles to the Upper Trailhead is gentle but there is little shade, so it’s a good idea to bring water and be prepared for desert conditions.
