Wallace Forest Conservation Area (Blue Creek Bay)

This 750-acre area along the northern shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene was acquired by BLM since 1998. Visitors can explore groves of Douglas fir, cedar, hemlock and pine, and may also catch a glimpse of native wildlife including wild turkeys, whitetail deer, coyotes, bears, meadowlarks, and woodpeckers.

Directions: Six miles east of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
