Beauty Bay Recreation Site

This small, seven unit picnic area, affords a pleasant highway rest stop in the forest. A short half-mile trail offers commanding scenic views of Coeur d’Alene Lake. Facilities are accessible including the 800 ft. paved path to a viewing deck overlooking Beauty Bay. An additional unpaved scenic trail (half-mile loop) in a forested setting affords beautiful views.

Directions: About 13 miles east of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. 
Follow Interstate 90 east from Coeur d’Alene for eight miles to the Wolf Lodge Bay exit (exit 22), then south on State Highway 97 for five miles.

Facilities/Fees:

  • No fee
  • Day use area only
  • 7 unit picnic area
  • Use Season: April through October
  • Short Loop Trail (non-motorized use only)
  • Viewing Deck

 

BOATERS - BE AWARE OF A NEW STATE LAW!
The Idaho Invasive Species Law and Boater Registration
Under the new law, any boat that is registered in Idaho or another state, and any non-motorized vessel (canoe, kayak, raft, drift boat, etc.) will be required to purchase and display IISF stickers in order to legally launch and operate in Idaho. Inflatable, non-motorized vessels must be less than 10 feet in length to be exempted from this requirement.
