Orphan Point Saddle

Lookout Mountain National Recreation Trail | Delaney Creek National Recreation Trail

This is one of three primitive backcountry camp sites along Forest Road 301 on the south side of Grandmother Mountain WSA and serves as the trail head for Lookout Mountain and Delaney Creek Trails.

Directions: About 26 miles east of Clarkia, Idaho.
From Highway 3 at Clarkia, travel Forest Road 301 east for 26 miles.

Facilities/Fees:

  • No fees 
  • Primitive campground 
  • No garbage collection– pack out trash 
  • Use season: July through September 
  • Vault toilet
