Mineral Ridge Boat Launch and National Recreation Trail  

Description: This popular fishing access site on the east end of Coeur d'Alene Lake has a concrete launching ramp, docks and asphalt surfaced parking area. Each winter from November through February a migrating population of up to 150 bald eagles visits the area to feed on spawning kokanee salmon. Interpretive viewing program from Christmas through New Years during peak migration.

Directions: About nine miles east of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Take US-90 east from Coeur d'Alene for 8 miles to Wolf Lodge Bay (exit 22), then south on Highway 97 for one mile. It is on the south side of Wolf Lodge Bay. Mineral Ridge Scenic Area and National Recreation Trail are one mile further down the road on Beauty Bay.
