Orphan Point Saddle

Description:
This trail is part of a 45-mile network collectively referred to as the Marble Creek Trail System providing access to and through the Grandmother Mountain Wilderness Study Area. The area has an intermingled ownership and is jointly administered by the BLM and the Forest Service. Lookout Mountain Trail follows a high mountain ridge alternating between forested saddles and open, rocky mountain tops. Scenic vistas are first rate.

Directions: About 26 miles east of Clarkia, Idaho.
From Highway 3 at Clarkia, take Forest Road 301 east for 26 miles to Orphan Point Saddle, or from Avery take Forest Road 301 south for 13 miles and Forest Road 216 east for 4 miles to Breezy Point.

Trailhead Location: Orphan Point Saddle (FS Road 301), Breezy Point (FS Road 216)
