Hiking- Fish Lake Trail

Description: This ascending trail provides access to Fish Lake within the Grandmother Mountain Wilderness Study Area. The scenic alpine lake contains cutthroat trout and is the headwaters of the Little North Fork Clearwater River. Undeveloped camping is allowed. The trail starts as a two-track jeep road, is open to motorized use and is suitable for four-wheelers for 1.5 miles.

Directions: 15 miles south of Avery, Idaho.
From Avery take Forest Road 301 south for 13 miles, then Forest Road 216 east for one mile and Forest Road 1925 south for 2 miles

Trailhead Location: Forest Road 1925 at Little North Fork Clearwater River Crossing.
