Blue Creek Bay Planning Site

We are in the process of gathering information, public comments, concerns, opportunities and ideas that will be considered in the development of a recreation management plan for 736 acres of BLM-administered public lands in the Blue Creek Bay area on Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The project area, located east of Coeur d'Alene near Wolf Lodge Bay, contains at least three distinct areas that may be considered for some level of development.  BLM improvements within the area are presently limited.  The log landing area has a natural surface parking area and boat dock which provides limited access to the lake via a steep bank.  An upper bench meadow, accessible by using a primitive trail from the log landing area, is also accessible next to a primary road.  The wetlands area along the north end of Blue Creek  Bay provides wildlife and riparian habitat.

The following items are posted for your review.  If you wish to provide comments concerning the potential opportunities for development, level of development or other information regarding this area, please submit your comments to Brian White, BLM Outdoor Recreation Planner, 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID  83815; email to: Brian_White@blm.gov, or FAX to (208) 769-5031 Attn:  Brian White.
