Joe T. Fallini CampgroundDescription: The newly redesigned Joseph T. Fallini Campground (formerly Mackay Reservoir Recreation Site) is the only recreational site in Challis that offers full RV hookups and features a diversity of other facilities. This scenic area has a gorgeous view of the Lost River Range and offers recreational opportunities such as boating in the summer and ice fishing in late winter (print map).

CAMPGROUND REGULATIONS
The Following Activities in Developed Campgrounds in the BLM Challis Field Office Area are PROHIBITED:
  1. Discharge of firearms, other weapons, or fireworks.
    43 CFR 8365.2-5 (a)
  2. Willfully deface, disturb, remove, or destroy any personal property, or structure, or any scientific, cultural, archeological or historic resource, natural object or area. 43 CFR 8365.1-5 (a)(1)
  3. Willful injury to, defacement, or removal of trees, flowers, vegetation, soils, gravels, or rocks. 43 CRF 8365.1-5 (a)(2)
  4. Leaving personal property unattended for more than 24 consecutive hours in a day use area, and 72 hours in other areas. (The county sheriff will be notified to confiscate all abandoned property after 36 hours). 43 CFR 8365.2-3 (c)
  5. Occupation of a camping site for more than 14 days in any one month period. 43 CFR 8365.1-2 (a)
  6. Littering the grounds, putting trash or dumping holding tanks into latrine vaults. 43 CFR 8365.1-1 (A dump station is available at this location and at Cottonwood Recreation Site)
  7. Use of loud, profane, or abusive language or playing loud music. 43 CFR 8365.2-2, 43 CFR 8365.1-4
  8. Operation or parking of any vehicle on or in areas other than established roadways and designated or parking areas. 43 CFR 8365.2-4
  9. Camping in non-designated areas. 43 CFR 8365.2-3 (b)
  10. Discharge of waste water from toilets, baths, showers, or sinks onto the ground. 43 CFR 8365.2-1
  11. Building a fire outside of a fire ring when a fire ring is provided. 43 CFR 8365.2-3 (d)
  12. Allowing pets to roam free. Pets must be physically constrained by a leash or structure. It is each pet owners responsibility to clean up after their pet. 43 CFR 8365.1-7 (i)
  13. Operation of any motorized land vehicle at a speed in excess of posted speed limit. 43 CFR 8365.1-3 (a)
  14. Failure to pay fees. 43 CFR 8365.2-3 (a)
  15. Failure to obey quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. 43 CFR 8365.1-4
