Challis Bridge Boat Ramp
This site, once called “Steel Bridge,” was rebuilt in 2004 with the National Public Lands Day funding and volunteer labor, along with fee demonstration funding. It is often used by boaters desiring a casual day float/fishing trip. It provides easy access to the river and is surrounded by a grove of cottonwoods, which provide shade from the hot summer heat.
Location: 2 miles south of Challis on Highway 93.
Facilities/Fees:
• Concrete boat ramp
• 2 vault toilets
• Boat trailer and day use parking
• 4 picnic tables and pedestal grills
• No fees
