Volunteer campground host “Making a Difference” | Duane Wilson has received the BLM's 2011 "Making a Difference" National Volunteer Award. Duane is serving as volunteer campground host at Cottonwood Campground for the 13th consecutive year. He has volunteered over 10,000 hours of his time to the successful operation of Cottonwood, without which the Challis Field Office would not have been able to keep the campground running as one of the BLM's "hidden jewels."

Idaho employee's Spirit of Service| Jeff Christenson, BLM recreation planner in Challis, was recently presented with the Director’s Award for Spirit of Service, recognizing his excellence and dedication in managing a recreation program that draws 100,000 visitors each year to 14 developed recreation sites, 7 wilderness study areas and 120 river miles.
