Recreation Sites & Activities

Boating, fishing, hunting and hiking are favorite activities for the Burley area. Several recreation sites, developed and primitive, can be found along more than four miles of Snake River shoreline.

The area features basalt cliffs surrounded by a sage grassland which equates to outstanding  hunting for upland game birds and antelope.

Anglers will find their prayers answered here, with an abundance of fish including brown trout, chinook and kokanee salmon, yellow perch, black crappie, channel catfish, small mouth bass, and walleye. Ice fishing is a popular sport during January and February.
