Twin Falls District Fire and Aviation Spreading the Word about Fireworks:  Idaho BLM Twin Falls District Fire Prevention Specialists are traveling across the south central Idaho area this week, posting Idaho Fire Prevention Orders and visiting stands where fireworks are being sold.  The Idaho Fire Prevention Order, signed by Idaho State Director Tom Dyer, details prohibited fireworks, guns, ammunition, targets and burning that are illegal on public lands. Twin Falls District will also participate in multiple Independence Day events across the Magic Valley, sharing prevention and safety information with area citizens.

Twin Falls District RAC Members Tour Areas of the Burley Field Office:  Nine members of the Twin Falls District Resource Advisory Council (RAC) toured a juniper treatment on Jim Sage Mountain, the Raft River geothermal plant and the BLM portion of the Castle Rocks Interagency Recreation Area.  The tour showcased sagebrush steppe habitat restoration, the permitting and production of geothermal energy and issues surrounding the Castle Rocks Climbing Management Plan.
