Wild Horse Table Hike
This plateau offers scenic views of mountains, canyons, basins, cliffs and ridges. Nearby cliffs were used as “jumps,” where Native American hunters chased animals off steep overhangs to their deaths. This dry, rocky terrain has a low sage and sparse grass environment.

Navigating the trail:
- There are two possibilities, the less challenging option is to follow the grassy area to the cliffs. The more difficult way follows the mahogany/aspen grove, climbs to the cliff. Stay to the right of the drainage.
- Now you should reach the base of the cliffs and try to find a place to climb up.
- If you are interested in viewing some cultural remnants, you have the opportunity to see petroglyphs if you continue south-southwest until you reach a basin.
- Stay on the southern side of the basin and then head southeast, staying north of the drainage. The petroglyphs will be located on the lower cliffs.
- Hike east towards the road.
- Turn left and cross the open area, passing the Little Blue Reservoir.
