Boating

Areas of Interest | Boating on the Bruneau/Jarbidge River | Boating on the Owyhee River

Boating opportunities abound in the Canyonlands of the Jarbidge, Owyhee and Bruneau Rivers. These spectacular rivers flow through southwestern Idaho, northern Nevada and eastern Oregon and provide a unique, spectacular view of deep canyons carved into an extensive desert plateau.

The Owyhee River offers Class II and III whitewater, as well as occasional rapids of Class IV, V and VI.  The Bruneau river offers challenging Class III and IV rapids. The float season is from March through early- to mid-June, depending upon snowpack and spring run-off.
