Western Small-Footed Myotis
These bats have brownish fur with a yellowish-orange tint, with black ears and a black mask across their muzzle and face to their ears. They love to live in Idaho, especially in lava-tube caves, where they hibernate in cracks and crevices. They have also been found in forests and old buildings.
Myotis bats eat many different kinds of small insects, including moths, flies, true bugs and ants. Myotis only have one “pup,” or baby, at a time.
