Idaho’s Frogs and Toads
Idaho is home to numerous different types of frogs and toads. You can find many of them on BLM lands, especially near water. Frogs and toads have special skin that absorbs water, so they do not have to drink water through their mouths to survive. Frogs and toads have strong front legs, so they can leap forward at great distances. Their front legs are very short; they use them to prop themselves up when they sit.
