Canyon-Big Timber Watershed Assessment Report
This document is an interagency land health assessment for the National System of Public Lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Salmon Field Office and National Forest System lands administered by the Salmon-Challis National Forest (SCNF) Leadore Ranger District within the upper Lemhi River watershed.
The purpose of the assessment was to use a collaborative, landscape-level approach for understanding ecologic processes, current land uses, and management actions affecting resources within the analysis area. This report documents the condition and/or function of public land and National Forest resources. For BLM-managed lands specifically, this includes an evaluation of the eight Idaho Standards for Rangeland Health (USDI 1997). This report also contains recommendations developed by the multi-agency assessment team that address identified resource issues within the CBT area. Although this assessment outlines recommendations to meet management objectives, it is not a decision-making document.
