General Location
About 40 miles south of Ashton, Idaho

Natural Features
Lush vegetation along the creek bottom includes rose, aspen, willow, serviceberry and snowberry. The slopes have scattered stands of Douglas-fir Lodgepole pine and aspen intermix with sagebrush, bitterbrush and grasses. Wildlife species include black bear, elk, moose, deer, and a variety of birds.  The area lies within Situation I habitat, where management of grizzly bear is given priority over other uses.
