General Location 
About 30 miles southeast of Arco, Idaho

Natural Features 
The namesake butte is a small tephra or scoria cone that became a Research Natural Area (RNA) in 1965. The almost perfectly circular cone is 1,260 feet in diameter and has a 100-foot deep crater.
