General Location 
About 42 miles west of Idaho Falls, Idaho (Bingham County)

Natural Features 
A series of overlying lava flows dating back 10,800 years now appears as undulating topography.  Sagebrush, grasses and forbs grow where soils have accumulated.  Various rodents, mule deer, antelope, coyotes and rabbits, and 100+ species of birds inhabit the lava plain.
