The public lands of the Pocatello Field Office offer outstanding scenic, cultural, and geologic values for visitors. This varied landscape includes long mountain ridgelines, narrow valleys, and broad plateaus dissected by numerous rivers and streams. The magnificent scenery of the Snake and Blackfoot Rivers characterize the area, which is unique for its open spaces, varied plant and animal species and fascinating cultural history.
