Areas of Interest

The Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area (NCA) was established in 1993 to protect a unique environment that supports one of the world's densest concentrations of nesting birds of prey, with a unique profusion of falcons, eagles, hawks, and owls.  Part of the BLM National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS), the area was renamed in honor of raptor educator and conservationist Morley Nelson in the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009.
