Recreation Site Parking Lots Chip Sealed and Striped in Economic Recovery Project
Project fact sheet
The asphalt pavement at several BLM recreation sites in the Cottonwood Field Office was chipsealed and repainted on workdays between Sept. 8 and Sept. 15, 2009.
The work was accomplished using funds allocated to BLM Idaho under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Chipsealing is needed every four to five years to protect pavement surfaces and reduce long-term maintenance costs at a site.
