Cookies are small pieces of information stored in virtual memory on your computer. These temporary cookies (sessionn, "cache" or "memory" cookies) are stored in your browser memory, and they go away as soon as you quit your browser. Most dynamic web sites that you visit write file cookies in your hard drive. Our web site requires temporary cookies because we use php Server Page technology. The temporary cookies tell our php Server Pages which client browser to send the Forum search results. . Cookies are NOT used to determine where you go following a visit, where you've been prior to a visit and cookies are kept wholly within the constraints of the forum and useage for its members.
Session cookies are however used to store information on what topics have been viewed in the current session to allow the "read marks" to work. These only last for the duration of the session (last action + 1 hour by default or closing the browser, whichever is sooner).
If your browser is configured to block temporary cookies, then you will not be able to use our Forum search engine.
