		<title><![CDATA[ 2012 Managed Deer Hunt at Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area ]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[ <div align="left"><p>LORTON, VA &ndash; The Bureau of Land Management held a successful Managed Deer Hunt at the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area located on Mason Neck, Virginia, from January 19 through 21, 2012. &nbsp;For this antlerless hunt, participants were chosen through a lottery process utilizing archery, shotgun or muzzleloader. &nbsp;Any hunter needing accessibility accommodations or a hunter&rsquo;s aide was able to make arrangements with the Lower Potomac Field Station staff in advance. ]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[ <div><p>SPRINGFIELD, Va.&mdash;The Bureau of Land Management-Eastern States quarterly oil and gas lease sale resulted in competitive bids for all parcels offered.&nbsp;The sale was held at the BLM-Eastern States Office, Springfield, Va. on December 7, 2011.&nbsp;The combined bids brought in $499,111 that is distributed between the Federal government and states where the parcels were located.&nbsp;Regulations require the bidding to open at $2.00 per acre.&nbsp;More than 17,646<span> acres were offered in the sale parcels.</span> ]]></description>
