Upper Wisconsin, Pelican, and Tomahawk Rivers

The stretch includes 25 public islands on the Wisconsin River from Rhinelander to Lake DuBay, four islands on the Tomahawk River, and four islands on the Pelican River.  Most of these islands are too small to support campsites, with the notable exception of one island in Alexander Lake, just upstream of Council Grounds State Park, which is a popular campsite for people using this flowage.

Below are links to BLM-managed public islands on these rivers.  These are in JPG format, 8.5 x 11 inches and show topographic features with islands indicated by stars.  To download, click on the icon or the name of the map.
